Japan’s traditional architecture gets boost with UNESCO listing for ancient techniques

Japan’s traditional architectural techniques, showcased in the centuries-old craftsmanship of temples, shrines and wooden homes, are to be added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
