Roma scored a late equalizer to leave Inter Milan three points adrift of leader AC Milan at the top of Serie A.
Gianluca Mancini glanced home a header from Gonzalo Villar’s cross to earn Roma a point four minutes from the end, BBC reported.
Two goals in seven second-half minutes – Milan Skriniar’s header and Achraf Hakimi’s exquisite curler – had turned the game Inter’s way after Lorenzo Pellegrini’s deflected opener for Roma.
But Mancini’s late leveler kept third-placed Roma three points behind Inter.
Roma’s half-time lead was slightly fortuitous as Pellegrini’s 20-yard shot deflected off Alessandro Bastoni to leave Samir Handanovic with no chance in the Inter goal.
Pau Lopez preserved Roma’s lead in the face of intense Inter pressure with two superb point-blank saves to thwart Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Skriniar headed in Marcelo Brozovic’s cross and Hakimi curled in off the bar as the visitors’ persistence paid off but Antonio Conte’s side were denied all three points as Mancini rewarded Roma’s late rally.
